Kyoto Travel Must Check | Battle with Samurai in Toei Kyoto Studio Park 東映太秦映画村
Have you ever dreamed of battling with Samurai back in Edo era in Japan?
Ninja assassination, Samurai sword, Maiko performance… everything you thought can only be found in Edo era, is all real here – Toei Kyoto Studio Park! 東映太秦映画村
Today, we will time travel to Edo era and battle with Samurai and Ninja!
What is Toei Kyoto Studio Park 東映太秦映画村?
Eigamura, or Toei Kyoto Studio Park – is the only theme park in Japan where you can observe the filming of period dramas (jidaigeki films). Here you can walk freely around the Toei Kyoto Studio film set. This set depicts a street from the Edo period, and is used to shoot more than 200 films per year. Enjoy the atmosphere of ancient Japan by taking in a ninja show maybe even dressing up as a geisha or samurai.
The biggest part of the park is the extravagant yet entertaining swordfight, and the dramatic Samurai / Ninja show. However, there are no English subtitle / translation. For non-Japanese speakers, it can be a little bit hard to enjoy. 🙁

There are many other attractions, facilities in the Toei Kyoto Studio Park. I really regret that I didn’t study about the Edo period before I went there. It would be more interesting if we could know all the functions of those buildings in the park.
After all, it’s a very good place to visit for photograph. I highly recommend you go with family or your girlfriend, as the atmosphere there is quite peaceful. 🙂
