I found a GOOD place in Kyoto city! The place is very relaxing and makes me at home.

Its name is….

tatatatatatatatatatatatatatata….ChaChang!

Shin-pu-kan 新風館 !!!
(Auch! Stop throwing bananas on me. I know it’s written on the title lol)

Shin-pu-kan – The meaning of the name – “Shin” (New), “Pu” (Style), “Kan” (Mall)- means “the mall of new style”, with theme as “Nostalgia”. It’s a shopping mall located at Kyoto city. There are around 30 shops focused on Fashion, Dining, and Decorative Art stuff.

Despite its good atmosphere and design, there are not many people consuming here because most of the shops are big-brands.In daytime, it looks like a place for family leisure; At night, it feels more like a beer garden. It’s a very good place to take a private rest in this busy city life. 🙂

Here some pictures I took. 🙂

It's a shopping mall but the stage and those tables chairs are free for use.

Shinpukan in Kyoto city

Shinpukan Kyoto relax

In Japan, it is not easy to do whatever you like in public. You can tell how relaxing the place is from the pose taken by the guys in the picture.

The Best Time is NIGHT!

Those seats are all free for use! Also you can order food and drinks from the cafe just next to it.

It reminds me of Malaysia when we go "Yam Cha" at night. (means going out for tea time at night in Cantonese)

There is a big TV at the plaza where all free tables can see it.

It maybe not a travel spot for tourists, but it should be a good place to hangout for college students who are as romantic as me. xD

What are you waiting for? Grab your phone and ask your bf/gf out! I’m sure you will have a great time here 😉

For single ladies, my phone is always open for you lol
